What you will learn
- Navigate and execute complex commands within a major Global Distribution System (GDS) interface to manage travel reservations.
- Calculate international airfares using IATA mileage principles, higher intermediate points (HIP) checks, and currency conversion rules.
- Interpret and apply diverse fare rules and restrictions to ensure compliance with airline ticketing policies.
- Construct and modify Passenger Name Records (PNR) for individual and group bookings, including special service requests.
- Issue, reissue, and void electronic tickets and Electronic Miscellaneous Documents (EMD) according to industry standards.
- Analyze automated fare quotes to identify the most competitive and logical routing options for global itineraries.
- Resolve ticketing discrepancies and manage refund or exchange processes within the GDS environment.
